The pulse generator in the electronic head of the ultrasonic liquid level gauge first applies an electrical pulse signal to the magnetostrictive waveguide wire. The electrical pulse portion is accompanied by a ring-shaped magnetic field and is transmitted down the waveguide wire at the speed of light. When the ring-open magnetic field encounters the longitudinal magnetic field generated by the magnet in the float, it will be superimposed with it to form a spiral magnetic field. According to the Widman effect, when the synthetic magnetic field changes to form a helical magnetic field, the waveguide wire will expand and contract along the helical magnetic field, causing the waveguide wire to twist and deform, thereby exciting torsional waves.
The following editors want to introduce you to the five precautions for the use of ultrasonic level gauges :
1. Occasionally find that the float is not flexible enough to move up and down. This is mostly caused by improper installation of the magnetostrictive liquid level gauge. At this time, it should be noted whether the center of the upper and lower flanges is on a line and is perpendicular to the horizontal plane. In general, the angle with the horizontal plane is not less than 87 degrees. If the deviation is large, it may affect the smooth movement of the float.
2. Special care should be taken when using. Never use a strong magnet to pull the float up and down the communication tube for inspection. Otherwise, the magnetic float will be magnetized and the polarity will be changed, and even the float will be weakened, making it difficult to work properly.
3. The adjustment is normal. After use, it is found that the float has "sucked" for a period of time. This is mainly caused when the liquid level gauge is installed too close to the steel plate when it is installed through the steel platform. Therefore, the installation through the steel platform needs to pay special attention to the distance between the wall of the connecting pipe of the level gauge and the cutting edge of the platform. According to on-site experience, this spacing can ensure that it does not affect the magnetic float at about 100mm.
4. After using for a period of time, the float is difficult to float and the float is not flexible to move. This is basically caused by iron filings or other dirt on the magnetic float. The medium can be emptied first, and then the float can be removed to eliminate iron filings or other contaminants on the magnetic float.
5. In the process of use, if the output signal produces frequent disturbances or interference pulses, it is necessary to check whether the signal cable shielding layer is reliably grounded, and whether the working connection meets the requirements. If the interference is still not completely eliminated, it can be solved with a signal isolator.
