The project of “Key Hydraulic Components Development for Medium and Large-scale Excavators†declared by Zoomlion was approved. From the basic frontier, technical research to application demonstration, the whole chain is innovatively designed and integrated and implemented.
Hydraulic components are at the core of the excavator industry chain, and the performance of key hydraulic components directly determines the core technical indicators such as the overall handling and fuel economy of the excavator. At present, the import of key hydraulic components of medium and large excavators is over 95%, which is a typical “card neck†project.

Zoomlion's “Key Hydraulic Components Development for Medium and Large-scale Excavators†project is aimed at three major aspects of design, manufacture and electro-hydraulic control strategies for medium and large excavators. By studying the main working objects of large excavators (such as sand excavation, soil, slag, rock, etc.) and operation actions (such as loading movements: digging, loading, unloading, returning, throwing earthwork, etc.), taking into account the operational performance and efficiency, Fuel economy, based on conceptual design, principle verification, theoretical analysis, test performance verification, the development of medium and large excavator main valve and electro-hydraulic control strategy, forming a total solution for medium and large excavator electro-hydraulic control system. On the basis of existing hydraulic components and systems, the technical design, processing technology, assembly technology, test methods, control strategies, etc. will be upgraded in all aspects.
The application and industrialization of the research results of this project will support the independent design and technological innovation of the host equipment, break the monopoly of foreign high-end hydraulic valve products, assist the transformation and upgrading of the equipment manufacturing industry, promote the development of China's hydraulic parts industry, and promote industry R&D, The innovation capability gradually meets the increasingly high requirements of the host, and breaks the industry situation where the structural excess of low-end products coexists with the structural shortage of high-end products.
In recent years, Zoomlion has accelerated key core technology research and continued to increase investment in research and development. According to statistics, Zoomlion has invested a total of 2.853 billion yuan in research and development in the past three years, accounting for 3.96% of operating income. The total amount of R&D investment and its proportion are among the highest in the industry.
