Vertical Raymond Mill uses material bed grinding principle to grind materials. Taking the MPS mill produced by the German company Pfeiffer as an example, the schematic diagram of its structure is shown in Figure 2.1. MPS vertical Raymond Mill main components are: three tire-shaped grinding roller, groove-shaped disc, separator, reducer, hydraulic tensioning device and pressure frame. The grinding roller shaft of the MPS mill has an angle of 12° with the horizontal plane, and the three grinding rollers are fixed by the same bracket and are simultaneously pressurized.

The operating form of MPS Vertical Raymond Mill is as follows: As shown in Fig. 2.1, the materials that need to be grinded are fed into the center of the grinding disc through the central chute of the separator. The main motor drives a speed reducer to drive the rotation of the disc. Under the action of the rotating disc, the material makes a spiral movement on the disc and enters the grinding zone between the disc and the roller.
The three rollers rotate around the roller axis under the frictional force of the material on the disc, and drive the material to move to form a material layer. Under the interaction of the roller pressing, grinding and material interaction, the material is crushed. Raymond Mill's grinding roller pressure comes mainly from its own gravity and hydraulic tensioning device's pressure applied to the grinding roller through the pressure frame. After grinding, the material reaches the edge of the grinding disc under the action of centrifugal force, and is blown by hot air from the hot air inlet at the wind ring. The material particles in the high-speed updraft are suspended and dried, and a small part of the bulk material is first separated out under the action of gravity and dropped into a grinding plate to continue grinding. The rest of the material was brought into a separator in the upper Raymond Mill to separate, and the qualified fines were discharged through the mill outlet through the outlet of the mill and collected. The coarse powder is then ground along the upper frame body and the inner wall of the classifier to be ground again and the appeal process is repeated.
Vertical Raymond Mill has the following advantages: high grinding efficiency, low energy consumption of grinding, compared with the ball mill of the same scale, saving 30% to 50%; allowing large grinding material size; grinding roller on the material The force can be artificially controlled to ensure that the materials and equipment are subjected to even and stable forces; the drying ability is strong; the grinding controllability is good; the material residence time in the mill is only 0.5 to 2 minutes, and the qualified products in the mill can be separated in time. Out, avoid the phenomenon of excessive grinding; process flow is simple, small footprint and construction area; low noise, less dust, clean operating environment.
