Thousands of miles begins with one foot, and the tires are the first ones. Especially for heavy trailers, the phenomenon of first-stage grinding is more common. Frequent tire replacements increase economic expenditure. The following Xiaobian analyzes the causes of the wear of the first row of heavy-duty trailers based on an example:
Question: Why the first row of heavy tyres trailer
Recently, a heavy-duty trailer driver said that the tyres in front of my car are extremely worn out and are quickly worn out. Only nine months later, the rear two rows do not grind.†For heavy-duty trailers, the former Row of grinding tires is not surprising, what are the reasons?
Reason: The bus saddle is too high
If the height difference between the main vehicle and the heavy trailer is high, especially when the main vehicle's saddle is high, the axle load on the first axle of the whole trailer will be lower. At this time, if the service brake is used frequently, the ABS will cause the trailer to be easily damaged. A bridge wears fast. The following test to verify why this happens.
Test Description: Four sensors are placed on different axles for 3 tests, 1 and 2 bridges respectively; 2 and 3 bridges; 1 and 3 bridges. The ABS actuator controls the air supply to the three rows of brake air chambers on both sides, respectively, through the shaft brakes detected from the sensors. All tests were conducted in the empty condition.
Test results: The sensors are arranged on the axles 1, 2 and will lose a part of the braking effect, but the wheels will not be completely locked; on the 2nd and 3rd axles, the first axle tires are tested twice without exception. Dead conditions; and the best effect is to place the sensors on the 1,3 axles.
It can be seen from the results that, in the case of ABS, if the saddle of the main vehicle is high and the position of the sensor is improperly placed in the case of an empty vehicle, a bridge is easily worn out. If the heavy trailer has no ABS, it is conceivable that the vehicle is under braking. Tire wear will be even greater.
Solution: Adjust the saddle height to install ABS
1. Adjust the height of the saddle of the main vehicle so that the load on the first axis should not be too small. Try not to brake in an empty state.
2. In order to install ABS safely and properly install and use ABS, the brake force will be constantly adjusted when the first axis is locked to reduce tire friction.
