1. Electromagnetic induction and right-hand rule According to the knowledge of Electrotechnics, when there is relative motion between the conductor and the magnetic field, when the two are cut to each other, an induced electromotive force is generated in the conductor. This phenomenon is called electromagnetic induction. . If the conductor is closed, a current is generated in the conductor under the action of an induced electromotive force. This current is called an induced current. As shown in Figure 2-7. Place a wire in a uniform magnetic field of two poles and connect a voltmeter to both ends of the wire. When the wire moves at a certain speed perpendicular to the direction of the magnetic field, the pointer of the voltmeter will deflect. The above phenomenon shows that after the wire and the magnetic field move relative to each other and cut each other, an induced electromotive force and an induced current are generated inside the wire.
