The implementation of LNG fuel power transformation in ships is a new thing in China. There is no standard basis for the existing standards. On April 7, 2011, after the completion of the renovation of “Hongri 166â€, the company officially launched a trial run. During the two years of trial operation, the ship did not have any faults, and the overall operation was stable, achieving good economic and social effects. After the conversion of the co-firing power, the ship's sulphur oxide emissions are reduced by more than 70%, nitrogen oxides are reduced by 35% to 40%, and each ton of diesel fuel can reduce carbon emissions by 0.88 tons. The engine oil consumption and engine noise are also significantly reduced. Comprehensive fuel economy costs more than 20%, praised by the community.
At the same time, the ship provides a strong support basis for the pilot transformation of the ship LNG fuel power, data collection, operation evaluation, comprehensive analysis, and the development of relevant normative standards.
The ship was audited by experts organized by the State Maritime Safety Administration on October 10, 2012, and subsequently obtained the “LNG Fuel Power Pilot Ship Approval Noticeâ€. In April this year, in accordance with the "Technical Requirements for Key Equipment of LNG Fuel Power Pilot Ships" and "Technical Requirements for LNG Fuel Power Pilot Ships", the ship was successfully inspected by the ship inspection agency for the LNG pilot ship inspection certificate issued by the ship inspection agency.
The "Red Sun 166" obtained the ship's ship inspection certificate marks that the reform of the domestic LNG fuel power ship has begun to standardize the road, and it also indicates that the inland river ship will officially permit the promotion and application of LNG fuel as the ship power.
At present, Wuhu is implementing the power modification of the following six pilot ships in accordance with the LNG fuel power pilot ship approval notice issued by the State Maritime Safety Administration, and actively and steadily promoting the application of new technologies and green energy in water transportation.
