In 2006, the Road Traffic Safety Association of the Ministry of Public Security of China planned to host the “Safety China 2006†campaign, hoping to enhance people’s safety awareness. As the world’s fourth-largest car manufacturer, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. took the initiative to contact the Association to share Nissan’s experience in the automotive safety field for more than 70 years with the Association, and jointly formed the second Nissan Safe Driving Training Camp.
On May 12, 2006, the theme "Safety China 2006 and Nissan Safe Driving Training Camp" was officially launched in Beijing. Subsequently, training camps were held in Guangzhou, Shanghai and Chengdu.
