On February 17, Jianghuai Automobile Co., Ltd. held an annual groundbreaking ceremony for its 200,000 high-performance gasoline engine project in Hefei, Anhui Province.

In order to further enhance the core competitiveness of products, we actively take the initiative to master the key core technologies of the automotive industry and respond to increasingly severe requirements for environmental protection, energy conservation and emission reduction. JAC decided to launch the 1.5LTGDI high-efficiency gasoline engine R&D project at the end of 2009, which is to produce 200,000 high-performance launch projects annually. The construction base is located in the production base of Jianghuai Automobile Engine Co., Ltd. in the Economic Development Zone of Hefei City with a total investment of 670 million yuan, a fixed assets investment of 600 million yuan, and an annual production program of 200,000 units/dual-shift (251 days) engines. The project will build a modern, high-performance, small-displacement gasoline engine cleaning plant and related utility power facilities, including a new body processing line, cylinder head processing line, assembly line, and hot test line.

The 1.5LTGDI high-efficiency gasoline engine is based on the current global technology platform and is developing a "green power" with lower fuel consumption, lower emissions, lower noise, higher specific power, higher specific torque and excellent performance. The engine has a rated power of 120kW and a maximum torque of 251N·m. Its comprehensive performance is equivalent to a conventional engine with a displacement of 2.5L or more. Compared with the traditional technology platform engine, the idle fuel consumption can be reduced by up to 30%, and the vehicle's road driving conditions can save 20%. In terms of emission indicators, the model meets Euro V emission standards and has Euro VI emission potential. On June 22, 2010, the first engineering prototype successfully fired once in JAC. The test results showed that all performance indicators of product development met the requirements of the design mission book.

The 1.5LTGDI high-efficiency engine and the 6DCT dual-clutch automatic transmission currently under development will constitute the "white gold" transmission system of Jianghuai Automobile with the world advanced level during the "12th Five-Year Plan" period. The production of the product will surely enhance JAC Passenger Vehicle. Product technology and brand value.
