Recently, South Korean engine manufacturer Hyundai Heavy Industries has launched a new heavy-duty high-speed diesel engine with a continuous power of 500bhp, which is mainly used in the small merchant shipping market.
It is reported that the machine is a 6-cylinder L500 model with an electronically controlled fuel injection system that can meet strict emission standards and provide heavy-duty power and torque at series speeds. It has the advantages of simple design and high reliability. The cylinder block is also equipped with Turbocharger with wastegate and integrated oil cooler. Oil and gas filters can be washed and reused and equipped with an electric variable speed pump.
