Porous polypyrrole / graphene nanosheets, using it as a dual-functional active material, build a high-performance, flexible, miniature supercapacitor-gas sensor planar integrated microsystem.
The rapid development of portable, wearable and implantable electronic devices has greatly stimulated the modern society's strong demand for miniature electrochemical energy storage devices and their integrated microsystems. Among them, the micro super capacitor-gas sensor integrated system can quickly, real-time, and wirelessly monitor harmful gases, and realize the monitoring and management of industrial production processes, environmental pollutant emissions, and physical health.
However, currently reported supercapacitor-sensor integrated microsystems have problems with single active material functions and complex device connections, which seriously affects the overall performance of the device. Therefore, there is an urgent need to develop dual-function materials with high electrochemical activity and gas sensing performance and their innovative micro supercapacitor-sensor integrated microsystems.
Recently, the research team developed a combination of soft and hard templates, which can control the preparation of a dual-functional hierarchical hierarchical ordered bi-mesopolypyrrole / graphene nanosheets, and successfully constructed a class of high-performance micro-super The capacitor-gas sensor planar integrated micro-system realizes the efficient and integrated integration of two types of devices: a micro super capacitor and a gas sensor on the same plane substrate. This new two-dimensional nanosheet has a uniform thickness (80 nm), an orderly hierarchical structure of dual mesopores (7 nm and 18 nm), and a high specific surface area. The advantages of graphene show high electrochemical performance (specific capacity is 376 F / g) and high NH3 response (at 10 ppm NH3, the response value is 42%).
At the same time, the micro-supercapacitor in the integrated micro-system can effectively drive the normal operation of the NH3 sensor after charging for 100 s, and exhibits high responsiveness and excellent mechanical flexibility. This work provides a certain scientific basis for the design and synthesis of new two-dimensional mesoporous materials and the construction of portable and wearable integrated microsystems.
