Recently, DuPont's Belco Technologies (BELCO) received a new order for DuPont marine scrubbers.

The new order comes from an additional two ships from Interlake Steamship, which means that all five of the well-known North American Great Lakes bulk carriers are now installing DuPont's exhaust gas cleaning system. The DuPont scrubber will help Interlake create an efficient and environmentally friendly fleet of the Great Lakes.
It is reported that the two ships are the M/V Mesabi Miner and M/V Paul R. Tregurtha, which are self-unloading dry bulk carriers. Each ship will be equipped with two closed-loop side-by-side scrubbers. The scrubber installation was completed in the winter of 2017. The scrubber uses a common wastewater treatment system that meets all US Coast Guard, Pollution Emission Control Area and IMO standards, and enables Interlake to comply with all North American ECA IMO Annex VI sulfur and wastewater treatments. Required, but heavy fuel oil can still be used.
