The flue gas desulphurization project of Yangzi Petrochemical Thermal Power Plant adopts a relatively mature, advanced and reliable "ammonia-fertilizer desulfurization" technology at home and abroad, and is preparing to use the ammonia material produced by the company's refinery acid water stripping device and the thermal power plant. The sulfur dioxide produced by coal-fired boilers undergoes a neutralization reaction to produce a product with higher added value, ammonium sulfate fertilizer. This can achieve the purpose of "using waste to treat waste" without causing secondary pollution.
The implementation of gas desulphurization projects will be rigorously controlled by five major projects including “Investment, Quality, Progress, Safety, and Contracts”. First, we will ensure the completion of the flue gas desulphurization projects for 2 coal-fired boilers in thermal power plants in 2007 and complete the completion of 3 coal-fired boilers by 2008.
