Recently, SAIC Iveco Hongyan and SAIC Fiat Powertrain Co., Ltd., Fiat Power Technology Co., Ltd., Bosch Automotive Fuel System Co., Ltd., and Wuxi Cummins Turbocharger Technology Co., Ltd. jointly organized a capable testing team and successfully completed Hongyan "Jieshi" 6 × 2 trucks challenge the special operation environment's plateau test.
Through the tests of extreme environments such as low temperatures, frequent sandstorms, raging rain and snow, and thin oxygen, high-altitude areas, the “Jieshi†vehicle's dynamics, economy, controllability, and environmental adaptability have been comprehensively tested, and a great deal of information has been collected. The technical performance data of the entire vehicle, engine assembly and cab assembly has laid a solid foundation for the continued R&D and optimization of the performance of “Jieshiâ€.
On March 29th, after a long journey, the test team successfully arrived at the starting point and base of the plateau test - Golmud City, Qinghai Province with an elevation of 2,817 meters. In the half-monthly test, the testers traveled between the three main test points at 2,800 meters, 3,500 meters, and 4,500 meters above sea level, with a total range of 6,000 kilometers. For the CQ1254H8V29G553K "Jieshi" 6x2 trucks equipped with the Cursor9 engine, the technical performance of the engine and the vehicle at each power segment of 380HP, 340HP, and 290HP was tested, and the atmospheric pressure correction of the engine at high altitude was examined. Startup performance, supercharger overspeed and exhaust temperature protection, smoke limit correction, start performance, and parameter optimization; tested the vehicle's various configurations in three altitude areas before and after the optimization of power, passability, cold startability, Fuel economy and so on.
