This national science and technology support plan project was established in 2007 and is organized and implemented by the Xinjiang Science and Technology Department. It includes engineering key technology development of rare earth butadiene rubber, development of environmentally friendly tire rubber filling oil, and application of rare earth butadiene rubber in radial tires. In the past four years, the project team has focused on the problems of high catalyst consumption, high energy consumption, and continuous and stable production difficulties in the industrial production of rare earth butadiene rubber. The formulation of the catalyst was studied, and the optimum catalyst preparation process and industrial production process conditions were determined. Solve the problem of polymer agitation, glue transport and agglomerate caused by the viscosity of the rubber in the production process of rare earth butadiene rubber, and transform and build a 10,000 ton-grade rare earth butadiene rubber industrial production equipment at Dushanzi Petrochemical Company. And achieve continuous and stable operation.
The performance of the rare earth butadiene rubber produced by this industrial device is superior to that of the conventional nickel butadiene rubber, and is particularly excellent in wear resistance, low heat build-up, low rolling resistance, and resistance to dynamic fatigue. At the same time, the project also used the heavy distillate oil from Xinjiang heavy oil as raw material to develop a solvent refining-hydrofining combination process, and put into production of a 20,000-ton-grade environment-friendly rubber-filled oil industrial production line at Karamay Petrochemical. The environmentally friendly rubber filling oil can meet the EU REACH requirements.
