Li Shousheng introduced that implementing the “Twelfth Five-Year” development guideline and special development plan of the industry is the focus of the current petrochemical association. Setting a typical example of a company that has made outstanding progress in transition is one of the concrete measures to promote this work.


Yantai Wanhua Group is the first stop for research activities. The research team explored the advanced experience of the company's transfer mode with independent innovation as the entry point. Yantai Wanhua started from the initial introduction of 10,000 tons of MDI devices. It has independently developed advanced isocyanate manufacturing technology through unremittingly innovating technology and broke foreign monopoly. At present, the annual production capacity of Yantai Wanhua isocyanate has reached 1.3 million tons. It has two sets of MDI devices with the largest, lowest cost and highest degree of integration in the world, and has become the largest and fastest-growing polyurethane supplier in the Asia-Pacific region. The only national national polyurethane engineering and technology research center has been established. It is the first batch of national innovative enterprises and national technological innovation demonstration enterprises, and the only Chinese company that has MDI independent intellectual property rights.


Li Shousheng stated that independent innovation is the core driving force for enterprises to transform their development methods. Yantai Wanhua has independently developed advanced manufacturing technologies and vigorously implemented talent innovation projects so that enterprises stand at the commanding heights of the industry's development.


It is understood that members of the research team will be composed of the main leaders of the petrochemical association and journalists of the news media, and will write research reports for each company.
