10,000-ton devices will be completed by the end of the year
The preliminary design of the fluidized bed methanol to propylene technology development project was recently approved by the Anhui Provincial Development and Reform Commission. The project was jointly developed by China National Chemical Engineering Corporation and Huaihua Group. It adopts the methanol-fluidized catalytic cracking technology developed by Tsinghua University to produce propylene, and Huaihua Group has established a 10,000-ton methanol catalytic cracking system to produce propylene industrial test devices. It is understood that the methanol-fluidized catalytic pyrolysis technology for propylene developed by Tsinghua University has completed a small test and is of international advanced level. The fluidized bed methanol to propylene industrial test device project is to amplify this small-scale test result to the 10,000-ton scale and provide technical basis for the construction of a million-ton industrial device. The project mainly includes three parts: basic research, process amplification and industrial testing. The construction scale is to treat 30,000 tons of methanol annually, convert 10,000 tons of propylene, produce liquefied petroleum gas 800 tons, and invest a total investment of 170 million yuan. It is planned to be completed by the end of this year.
