In order to ensure the safety of special equipment during the Spring Festival and the “two sessions”, the Quality Supervision Bureau of Zhushan County, Shiyan City, Hubei Province carried out a special three-month safety inspection on special equipment used throughout the county.

In this inspection, law enforcement personnel will focus on the inspection of elevators, boilers, pressure vessels, lifting appliances, gas cylinders and other special equipment used by personnel-intensive hotels, shopping malls, hospitals, LNG refueling stations, and liquefied petroleum gas filling stations. According to the “Special Equipment Safety Law”, the unit that supervises the use of special equipment shall be urged to implement its main responsibilities, focusing on checking whether on-site safety management personnel and operating personnel hold certificates, whether the special equipment is inspected and registered for use, and whether the safety accessories are within the validation period. Whether the use unit has established emergency rescue plans for accidents and conducted rescue drills.

During the inspection, it was found that the individual units had problems such as the incomplete emergency rescue plan, the failure to establish special safety inspection equipment safety technical files, equipment operating procedures, and non-standard daily maintenance. In response to these problems, law enforcement officers have issued deadlines for rectification of opinions. Up to now, a total of 48 law enforcement officers have been deployed to check the use of 26 units and 39 sets of special equipment.
